Description:

Small Encoder for Win95/98, NT4 and above lets you easily encode one or more wAV Files to compressed MP3 Files. These MP3-files consume only about 1/12th harddisk space compared to uncompressed wAVs. One minute of a wAV-file (44,1 kHz, 16 bit, Stereo) needs 10 MB of your harddisk space, but only about 1 MB or even less, as an encoded MP3 File.

Small Encoder is a Visual Frontend for these Software Commandline MP3 Encoder:

L3ENC, TOMPG, DWAV2MP3 and BladeEnc.

Small Encoder Version 0.99 Build 102 (171 KByte)

The Visual Basic Runtime Library 4.0 is needed for Running Small Encoder:
This Library includes the File Vb40032.dll (381 KByte) among other files.

There is a good chance that you already have Vb40032.dll located in your System Folder (Win95/98) or System32 Folder if you are running NT4.

Features:

ID3-TAG Editor: Add your ID3-TAG after MP3 Creation. If you want to compress more than one wAV File from the same Artist you do not need to enter the specific Tags e.g. the Artist and the Album Name again and again.

Change MP3 Filenames: Build new MP3 Filenames according to its ID3-TAGs.

No overwriting of existing MP3s: Your work will never be accidentally destroyed.

Listen to wAVs: You can listen to a wAV File before you may decide to encode it.

All program settings are saved for future use.
